Wa Sya Dya Toothache Shrine
Wa Sya Dya means "toothache god" in Nepal Bhasa, and the god lives in a log jutting from a building at Bangemudha, hammered so full of coins that no wood shows. People with toothache pray there and nail in a coin. More than 20 dental clinics operate in the surrounding lanes, by a 2023 ward office count.

Yeti
A 2017 genetic study of nine purported Yeti specimens matched eight to Asian black bears or Himalayan or Tibetan brown bears, and one to a dog. Eric Shipton's 1951 photographs of footprints near the Menlung Glacier are now widely attributed to a bear track enlarged by melting.
