A full-scale replica of Stonehenge built from 39 vintage American automobiles, painted gray and arranged in a circle on the Nebraska plains by artist Jim Reinders in 1987.

Origin Story
Jim Reinders built Carhenge in 1987 with the help of his family as a memorial to his father, modeling the installation directly on Stonehenge's proportions and layout using 39 cars.
